I was raised in and am still a resident of West Chicago, IL, a small suburban town west of Chicago. I earned my BFA from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL. I graduated with an emphasis in sculpture and photography. I am currently finishing my fashion design certificate from the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL.
My works range from quirky pieces to highly personal expressions. I often incorporate art, poetry, and fashion to tell a narrative that is difficult to express otherwise. The nuances of line, color, word, fabric, or texture bring these stories to life.
I believe art is for everyone. In my over twenty years working with marginalized populations, I have brought art as a tool to almost every job I have worked. Art can be used to tell our stories and make connections. It can also help us express our emotions and move toward healing. I have curated several shows over the years for the purpose of sharing other people's art and ultimately their stories.
